This vintage pedestal bowl was made by Mappin & Webb Silversmiths for Claridge's Hotel in London. Circa 1930's.

We've held onto this piece of coveted European hotel silver for years in our "perfectly imperfect" inventory and decided it was time to share it.

We love the hefty weight of the bowl and the elegant "reed and ribbon" rims.  The crest of Claridge's sits on the front and center of the bowl and "Claridge's" is stamped on the bottom.

This treasure was re-plated in pure silver in London for us years ago, but still has the patina of its history of use in this iconic Mayfair hotel. There are nicks and dimples beneath the silver plate - only adding to its charm and character.

Perfect size for nuts, olives, lemons and limes on a bar, crackers or cheese straws on a cheese board, dip for crudité, guacamole for chips, berries at the breakfast table, candies or fresh whipped cream to serve with dessert.

It makes a unique gift for that special someone in your life who adores hotel silver and/or travel to London and perhaps has been a past guest at Claridge's.  Truly a keepsake.
