Vintage 10" Oval Platter, Claridge's Hotel

This Vintage 10" Oval Platter, circa 1930's, was made for the iconic Claridge's Hotel, situated in tony Mayfair in London.

It's a stunning collectible that sports the signature heft of classic European hotel silver from the bygone era of the Grand Tour.  "Claridge's" is stamped on the top rim of the platter. It sports the coveted patina from its history of use over the decades in the posh restaurants of this historic property.

It's the perfect size to serve hors d'oeuvres cookies, chocolates, fruit, cheese and crackers - endless uses.

When not in use for entertaining, we would lean this stunning platter upright against the kitchen backsplash or open shelving for a touch of silver chic and reflection in the room.

The vintage offerings in our European hotel silver collection are restored and re-plated in pure silver in London for us by our longtime silversmiths. Even with restoration, some of the pieces may sport more patina than others due to their unique history and use which we think only adds to their character and allure.
