Vintage Savoy Hotel Pedestal Bowl

This vintage pedestal bowl was made for the iconic Savoy Hotel. Situated overlooking The River Thames, The Savoy opened in the late 1800's as the first deluxe hotel of its kind in London.  The list of illustrious guests who have stayed at this historic landmark of hospitality is endless.  We particularly love that "Savoy" is beautifully engraved on the front and center of this bowl in their signature font.  Perfect size to hold berries, cocktail time nibbles, lemons and limes on a bar and fresh whipped cream to accompany a tart at dessert time.   A small fern would sit nicely in the bowl making this a chic cachepot. 

This treasured find is a true collectible and conversation piece for those who adore European hotel silver.

The vintage offerings in our collection are restored and re-plated in pure silver in London for us by our longtime silversmiths. Even with restoration, some of the pieces may sport more patina than others due to their unique history and use which we think only adds to their character and allure.
