Vintage Oval Soup Tureen with Lid

This vintage oval tureen is stunning with its pedestal base, elegant profile and beaded lid handle. Made in England by Walker & Hall Silversmiths who were known for their quality European hotel silver.

It's fabulous for serving steaming hot soups and chili in the winter and chilled gazpacho in the summer.  The tureen makes a chic punch bowl or chiller filled with ice and bottles of wine or champagne.

When not in use for entertaining, it looks beautiful with a potted fern, white orchids and moss, mounds of hydrangea or magnolia leaves with winter greens at holiday time.

When not in use, we love it displayed on open shelving in a kitchen or butler's pantry for its eye-catching, sculptural appeal.

The vintage offerings in our collection are restored and re-plated in pure silver in London for us by our longtime silversmiths. Even with restoration, some of the pieces may sport more patina than others due to their unique history and use which we think only adds to their character and allure.
