Vintage Fluted Nut Bowl

This Vintage 5.5" Fluted Bowl, circa 1930's, was made to be used in the dining rooms aboard the ships of the Atlantic Transport Line, a British operated steamship company established in the late 1880's with routes between New York and Great Britain.

We love the form of this bowl, distinguished by its appealing fluted top rim that sports the the insignia of this historic shipping company.   

It's the ideal size to serve cocktail time nibbles, lemon and lime wedges on a bar, candies or chocolate truffles at dessert time.

When not in use for entertaining, it becomes a chic accessory for a desk, coffee table or dresser.

The vintage offerings in our collection of European hotel silver & barware are restored and re-plated in pure silver in London for us by our longtime silversmiths. Even with restoration, some of the pieces may sport more patina than others due to their unique history and use which we think only adds to their character and allure.
