Vintage Fern Pot, "Union Castle Line"

We adore the graceful form of this Vintage Fern Pot, crafted by Mappin & Webb Silversmiths. It bears the emblem of the "Union Castle Line," and added a finishing touch to the white linen-topped dining tables aboard the luxurious ocean liners of this iconic British shipping company.

Circa 1930's, this pot is a true gem from an era of opulent trans-Atlantic voyages.

Today, it brings a touch of historic silver chic to any home when filled with a leafy fern, a tropical orchid, or arrangement of fresh garden roses.

The vintage offerings in our collection are restored and re-plated in pure silver in London for us by our longtime silversmiths. Even with restoration, some of the pieces may sport more patina than others due to their unique history and use which we think only adds to their character and allure.
