This set of 6 Vintage Dessert Forks was made for the restaurants of the Grand Hotel Roma, circa 1930's. The back of each handle sports the elegant monogram "GHR" of the historic hotel.
The Grand Hotel Roma opened in the late 1890's by London's Savoy Group as the first 5-star, luxury hotel in Italy.
In the 1930's, the hotel became a part of Italy's exclusive deluxe hotel group - CIGA (Compagnia Italiana Grandi Alberghi).
The soft patina of these beautiful forks exudes charm from their history of elegant service throughout this luxury hospitality property in Rome.
