Vintage 11" Round French Deco Platter, "Sud Atlantique"

This stunning Vintage 11" Round Platter sports the badge "SA" of the French ocean liner from the "Compagnie de Navigation Sud-Atlantique."  Circa 1930's.

With routes from France throughout the Southern Atlantic Ocean, this platter was used by white gloved waiters in the dining rooms aboard ship of this company's fleet of sleek ocean liners 

We love the streamlined design of the platter with its iconic Deco geometric rim.

It's a classic collectible piece of vintage European hotel silver with its signature hefty weight and unique history of use during a time of elegant trans-Atlantic travel.

The vintage offerings in our collection are restored and re-plated in pure silver in London for us by our longtime silversmiths. Even with restoration, some of the pieces may sport more patina than others due to their unique history and use which we think only adds to their character and allure.
