Vintage 14" Round Platter, Engine-Turned with Ribbon & Reed Border

This stunning vintage 14" round platter, made by Elkington Silversmiths, is a standout due to its engine-turned design and bold "ribbon and reed" rim.  The round badge in the center is 2" diameter. 

It's the perfect size to serve crudité, hors d'oeuvres, a side dish at dinner, or an array of fresh fruits and desserts. The center part of the tray (10" diameter) is flat and can accommodate cocktail glasses or coffee/tea cups.

When not in use for entertaining, we love this fabulous platter kept upright against a kitchen or bar backsplash for a glimmer of reflective silver in the room.

The vintage offerings in our collection are restored and re-plated in pure silver in London for us by our longtime silversmiths. Even with restoration, some of the pieces may sport more patina than others due to their unique history and use which we think only adds to their character and allure.
