Vintage 5.75" Pedestal Bowl w/Handles, "Clan Line"

This Vintage Pedestal Bowl, made by Walker & Hall Silversmiths, sports the flag badge of the historic British shipping company, "Clan Line." Founded in the late 1800's, Clan Line was a major cargo and passenger fleet.

Made for use in the dining room aboard ship, it's the perfect size for a favorite dip with crudité or homemade potato chips, a vessel to serve crackers on a charcuterie or cheese board, berries on a breakfast set-up, cranberry sauce at holiday time, fresh whipped cream at dessert - or as a chic silver accessory atop a stack of books on a coffee table.

It has patina from its history of use and the signature heft of collectible vintage European hotel silver.  A keepsake from a bygone era of The Grand Tour and elegant travel at sea.

The vintage offerings in our collection are restored and re-plated in pure silver in London for us by our longtime silversmiths. Even with restoration, some of the pieces may sport more patina than others due to their unique history and use which we think only adds to their character and allure.
