Vintage 8" Oval Dish, "British Commonwealth" Shipping Line

This vintage 8" dish sports the badge of the British Commonwealth Shipping Company, founded in the 1950's when longstanding Clan Line Steamers and Union Castle Lines merged.

We love this sleek oval dish for serving cocktail time nibbles or to be used on a desktop for paperclips, or a dresser-top as catch-all for cufflinks or jewelry.

The vintage offerings in our collection are restored and re-plated in pure silver in London for us by our longtime silversmiths. Even with restoration, some of the pieces may sport more patina than others due to their unique history and use which we think only adds to their character and allure.
