This vintage bowl with its "Star Line First Class" badge was made as a keepsake to be purchased by passengers aboard the ocean liners of this British luxury passenger shipping company. It's the Ideal size for serving nuts, olives, crackers or candy. It would make a fabulous gift for the lover of all things nautical. And, a nod to an era of elegant trans-Atlantic crossings by ship.
The vintage offerings in our collection are restored and re-plated in pure silver in London for us by our longtime silversmiths. Even with restoration, some of the pieces may sport more patina than others due to their unique history and use which we think only adds to their character and allure.
