Vintage Ice Pail, P&O Line

Characterized by its streamlined Deco design, this 1930's Ice Pail with Hinged Handle is a statement piece for a bar.

This bucket bears the initials "P&O" of The Peninsular & Orient Navigation Company. P&O was a British shipping line founded in the mid-1800's to transport packages and mail to India and East Asia. Later, it became one of the most glamorous ocean liner companies in the world.  

Its perfecly sized to fill with ice for assembling drinks or chilling a bottle of wine.  When not in use for entertaining, this ice pail doubles as a chic vessel for fresh flowers or a potted orchid.

It's a true, coveted collectible piece of vintage European hotel silver from the golden age of deluxe transatlantic travel.
