Vintage Pair of Dessert Forks, Ritz Hotel

This Vintage Pair of Dessert Forks from the Ritz Hotel in London is a true collectible of vintage European hotel silver. 

Circa 1930, the forks sport the patina of their history of use in the elegant restaurants of this historic hotel property, opened in 1906 (8 years after the opening of The Ritz Paris) situated on Piccadilly close to leafy Green Park in London.

We envision these forks atop white linen clothed tables at The Ritz with a string quartet playing in the background, mahogany and silver dessert trolleys rolling by with white gloved waiters offering strawberries and cream, assorted cakes and fruit tarts to the guests. Tea is being poured from gleaming silver pots.

Today we'd enjoy dessert, salad or breakfast with these forks that evoke character and charm.

We like to keep crocks of collected, assorted  vintage European hotel silver flatware on the kitchen counter for easy access to enjoy daily.

The vintage offerings in our collection are restored and re-plated in pure silver in London for us by our longtime silversmiths. Even with restoration, some of the pieces may sport more patina than others due to their unique history and use which we think only adds to their character and allure.
