Vintage Rectangular Woven Basket with Handle

This Vintage Rectangular Woven Basket is simply stunning. We don't come across woven baskets like this very often - they're a particular favorite of ours. Circa 1900.

It's a statement piece that's been beautifully restored by our longtime London silversmith. 

Perfect for serving warmed rolls on a buffet or the dining table, fresh and colorful crudité at appetizer time or as an instant centerpiece filled with apples, pears, citrus - or planted with moss and orchids or paperwhites.

This basket would be a chic addition to a vanity in a powder room filled with rolled hand towels and equally appealing on a desk for holding favorite stationery. 

The uses for this special piece are endless.

The vintage offerings in our European hotel silver & barware collection are restored and re-plated in pure silver in London for us by our longtime silversmiths. Even with restoration, some of the pieces may sport more patina than others due to their unique history and use which we think only adds to their character and allure.
