Vintage Scalloped Bowl, "Atlantic Transport Line"

This Vintage Scalloped Bowl sports the badge of the British-operated "Atlantic Transport Line" with routes between London and New York,  carrying cargo and first class passengers.

These scalloped bowls were made to be used in the dining rooms aboard ship.

We love this size for a favorite dip with crudité, guacamole or salsa, as a vessel to hold crackers on a cheese board, berries at breakfast, cookies at dessert - endless uses. 

This appealing bowl has the signature heft of classic, collectible European hotel silver. Its patina from its history of use only adds to its character.
