Vintage Set/6 Napkin Rings, British "Anchor Line"

This vintage set of 6 napkin rings was made for the British "Anchor Line" Shipping Company.  Founded in the mid-19th Century as a Scottish merchant ship company, it was taken over by renowned Cunard Lines in the early 20th Century.

Imagine these restored napkin rings adorning tables in the First Class Dining Rooms aboard ship with a starched white napkin at each place setting and diners dressed to the nines.

Each napkin ring sports the flag of the historic "Anchor Line."

The vintage offerings in our collection are restored and re-plated in pure silver in London for us by our longtime silversmiths. Even with restoration, some of the pieces may sport more patina than others due to their unique history and use which we think only adds to their character and allure.
