This Vintage Water Pitcher was made by Mappin & Webb Silversmiths for the dining rooms aboard the "Orient Line," a British shipping company with a history going back to the 18th century.
This pitcher, circa 1930's, sports the signature weight of classic vintage European hotel silver.
With its anchor badge , the insignia of this historic shipping fleet, this vessel makes a fabulous gift for someone who adores all things nautical. Equally appealing on a bar or entertaining in a home by the water or aboard a yacht.
The pitcher's streamlined shape goes with everything, making it timeless in its appeal.
The design includes a catch for ice by the spout which makes it ideal for serving ice water or batch cocktails. Also, looks stunning when filled with favorite fresh flowers.
The vintage offerings in our collection are restored and re-plated in pure silver in London for us by our longtime silversmiths. Even with restoration, some of the pieces may sport more patina than others due to their unique history and use which we think only adds to their character and allure.
